As of the census of 2010, there were 1,961 people, 715 households, and 486 families residing in the city. The population density was 951.9 inhabitants per square mile (367.5/km2). There were 843 housing units at an average density of 409.2 per square mile (158.0/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 85.8% White, 0.4% African American, 4.8% Native American, 0.6% Asian, 0.5% Pacific Islander, 4.9% from other races, and 2.9% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 9.7% of the population.

There were 715 households of which 39.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 46.2% were married couples living together, 15.7% had a female householder with no husband present, 6.2% had a male householder with no wife present, and 32.0% were non-families. 27.7% of all households were made up of individuals and 10.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.62 and the average family size was 3.17.
