What is Occupational Health

Occupational health is a field of healthcare involving multiple fields dedicated to the well-being and safety of employees in the workplace, with a strong focus on injury prevention and education. According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 2.44 square miles (6.32 km2), of which, 2.31 square miles (5.98 km2) of it is land and 0.13 square miles (0.34 km2) is water.

As of the census of 2010, there were 637 people, 261 households, and 169 families residing in the village. The population density was 275.8 inhabitants per square mile (106.5/km2). There were 347 housing units at an average density of 150.2 per square mile (58.0/km2). The racial makeup of the village was 96.4% White, 0.3% African American, 1.7% Asian, 0.5% from other races, and 1.1% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.9% of the population.

There were 261 households of which 32.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 48.7% were married couples living together, 10.0% had a female householder with no husband present, 6.1% had a male householder with no wife present, and 35.2% were non-families. 28.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 11.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.42 and the average family size was 2.95.
