What is Occupational Health

Occupational health is a field of healthcare involving multiple fields dedicated to the well-being and safety of employees in the workplace, with a strong focus on injury prevention and education. Occupational health refers to the identification and control of the risks arising from physical, chemical, and other workplace hazards in order to establish and maintain a safe and healthy working environment. As of the census of 2010, there were 946 people, 400 households, and 258 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,100.0 inhabitants per square mile (424.7/km2). There were 542 housing units at an average density of 630.2 per square mile (243.3/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 98.6% White, 0.2% African American, 0.4% Asian, and 0.7% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.6% of the population.

There were 400 households of which 33.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 41.3% were married couples living together, 17.0% had a female householder with no husband present, 6.3% had a male householder with no wife present, and 35.5% were non-families. 31.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 15.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.37 and the average family size was 2.90.
